Coming to Cate most recently from Boston, Amy has been lucky to have had opportunities to travel throughout her career. After growing up in Maryland and attending a small boarding high school herself, Amy earned her BA in Mathematics from Bryn Mawr College. From there, she moved to the northwest corner of Connecticut and taught math, coached basketball and lacrosse, and lived as a dorm parent at the Hotchkiss School. After five years there, Amy moved on to teach for School Year Abroad where she taught math for one year in Hanoi, Vietnam and one year in Rennes, France. Amy returned to the US to earn her M.Ed. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she focused on Adolescent Psychology within Education. At Cate, Amy is teaching math, living in the dorm, and coaching basketball and lacrosse. She enjoys working out and spending time with her puppies Leni and Churo.
